AN ALLIANCE BETWEEN NON-PROFITS AND A LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS.

We have a strategic partnership with the Atrium production facilities in Stone Mountain Georgia as our first location for a program. By using the downtime of The Atrium during the daytime, on weekends and most weekdays, we can provide valuable production, and vocational facility time to organizations that want to expose young black males to the many career opportunities in the entertainment industry. .

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES EXIST THAT OUR YOUTH TYPICALLY OVERLOOK

The foundation aims to help place young black males on a path to careers in entertainment in addition to performing. I want them to see the many opportunities that exist behind the scenes from New York to Tokyo with a deep dive into the possibilities in Africa and the Caribbean.

TO HARNESS THE PASSION OF THOSE MALES TO ENTER MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY AND GIVE THEM THE TOOLS TO ACTUALLY HAVE LONG TERM CAREERS

The mission of the organization is to use the Nationally recognized facility The Atrium, as an educational forum to expose Young African American males to the vocational opportunities in the entertainment industry, specifically live audio support and video production. Our goal is to expand that forum to a national level in which we tour the nations urban cities and offer weeklong seminars to expose our participants to the various careers in entertainment besides being the principal talent. We want to direct the energy that so many young black men expend attempting to be performers and expose them to the many lucrative careers behind the microphone that are often ignored. Our Vision is.

WHATS THE PLAN

By partnering with the production schools, music distribution companies, equipment manufacturers and film studios we intend to create a camp and afterschool program to expose our participants to an otherwise unattainable experience. We plan to have regularly scheduled instruction, speakers and hands on production time to spark the interest of our young sons of the entertainment business. Ultimately our goal is to place our participants in shadow programs internships and entry level positions as production assistants and p.a.’s.

HOW DO I ATTEND

The Son listen foundation has a seminar program for African American males age 14-17 that will expose them to the entire spectrum of professional entertainment careers and increase their options for jobs available around the world.
